Are you the executor but you have no money to hire an attorney for the estate? If the estate has real property or other assets but they are not liquid, we have a deferred type retainer where you do not have to pay out any of your own funds but we are paid by the Estate or estate funds. We have many different types of retainers available depending on your needs and the nature of your estate. One retainer that is very popular with clients,especially when people need to hire an attorney, but no one has extra money, is the “legal deferred retainer.” The legal deferred retainer is a type of retainer our office offers clients who are heirs or are the named executor, administrator or trustee. With this retainer you do not pay us any legal fees. The legal fees are paid by the estate or from your inheritance upon collection of the estate’s assets and prior to distribution. Thus, we generally get paid toward the end of the estate settlement. There is no money out of your pocket!
